    Link room audio problem

Hi. I have just installed a beovision 8 in the bedroom and having issues with the masterlink configuration...

The lounge has a Beovision 7 32" and sky hd (connected via scart and component) with a beovision 8 32" in the bedroom. Masterlink and coaxial cable has been connected...

The bv8 is set to option 6 and although selecting L-DTV brings up the sky picture there is no sound. If I then choose L-AV-DTV sound is received via masterlink

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Warren

on some of the Bv8 the sound settings were set to BG and not pal, I think the option is under the link freq menu on the Bv8

    Re: Link room audio problem

Just use DTV in the linkroom.

AV-DTV gives you the sound from the DTV in the mainroom.

Link DTV is used when DTV is already used in te linkroom with another source.

DTV gives you the both sound and video from the the mainroom (but only when you haven't  used DTV for another source/connector in the linkroom). That's why option 6 is used, if it doesn't exist in the linkroom, it uses the mainroom source.

When you have sound but no video after using DTV, then check your linkfrequency.

Thanks Beobuddy. I have to use link dtv as the bv8 has a dvb module fitted which I believe is hard wired to the local dtv selection

Had a look last night and it was infact the RF modulator setting mentioned by Kokane81

Changed it to "I" from "B/G" and it worked...

    Thanks All....
