    LX 5500 tube failure ?

    Hi,

My LX5500 has a curious image since a few days.

On the upper side , 1/3 of the screen has  vertival wawes, the rest of the screen is good.

    People have amazing heads !

Is it the announcement of its death  ?

    Thanks for your answer

    Zazou

Unstable power supplies I guess -> time for cap replacement...

Most probably nothing to do with the tube. Repairable, but it's your call whether it will be worth the investment.

See this thread. If you are not technically minded and/or experienced I wouldn't recommend trying yourself!
