I wonder if someone in the know might be able to point me in the right direction. I just replaced the RCA leads & ground cable for my Beogram RX turnable, soldering new ones to the internal board, a fairly simple process. Strangely, after hooking it back up when I turn up the volume on my system past a certain point the motor in the Beogram starts to vibrate like crazy to the point where the needle won't track. The more I turn the volume up the worse it gets.

Anyone have a clue what I might have done wrong, or what to look for?

I used a pair of coax Acoustic Research cables, using a comon ground like the old ones and did nothing to the A/C line.

Sounds like acoustic feedback.
In other words, the record and needle acts as a giant microphone, picking up the
vibrations in the air and sending them to the amplifier, which then amplifies the signal
and sends it out to the speakers.
Round and round it goes.

Is your Beogram placed in front or too near the speakers ?
On the same shelf etc.?

It's actually in the same location it was in before I changed the leads, and there was no problem. I'm pretty sure it's not feedback, since you can actually feel the chassis vibrating when I turn up the volume.
