    Beovision 7-32 Versions (Marks)

    Dear all,

Even after doing some research I am a little confused about the different versions of BV7-32 that were/are existing. Is there anywhere a kind of table where I can find the different technical specs?

    Thanks a lot.

    Heribert

    Re: Beovision 7-32 Versions (Marks)

    Heribert,

This is a very big question and so I will only focus on some key points.

Each "Mark" version has a number of assigned four digit "Type" numbers assigned which are sold by country/region and as an example I have listed the Mark V version below:-

    Region             DVD Reg     Type #

    North Eur             2              9181
    North Eur             3              9182
    Hong Kong           3              9183
    UK                        2              9184

    Mark II

The difference between the Mark I and Mark II were mainly the following:-

    • New DVD which includes amongst other things having support for JPEG

    Mark IV

The Mark IV is very similar to BeoVision 7-32 MK III with the only major differences related to the screen update, the scaler and the DVD remains optional.

    Mark V

BeoVision 7-32 Mark V is based on same design as the rest of the BeoVision 7-32 series, the difference is a general update with 2 HDMI inputs and an optional DVB-HD module and the DVD unit remains optional.

Clearly, all versions benefited from the many software updates and for customers who purchased the early versions (Mark I & II) if they wanted HD they had to purchase a special kit to make the units HD ready.

    Regards Keith....

    Hi Keith,

You´re very helpful! Can you answer me one last question?

Do you have an overview in which years the single Versions were brought in the market?

    Thanks,

    Heribert

    Re: Beovision 7-32 Versions (Marks)

    Hi All,

Just been looking at the B&O website, there doesn't seem to be a BV 7-32 anymore listed, only sizes are 40 and 55". Does that mean the 32" is no more because Mk V is only a few months old.

Any one got more news on what is going on. Also the Mark V seems to be making more use of the RJ45 port, says for BD-Live and firmware upgates, does that mean they are now planning on pushing software updates over the web?

    Thanks

    Steven
