Connecting Beogram RX to BeoMaster 4500

I just bought a Beogram RX inexpensively, but didn't realize that the RCA plugs on the unit were the originals and of course don't connect to my BeoMaster 4500.  I found an adapter but the adapter has only 3 pins, not 7 - no sound. I switched the rca inputs to make sure I just didn't have them confused - no sound.  Is there a proper adapter for this?  Do I need some kind of amplification boost?  (didn't think I would, but tell me).  Of course, I'd rather have a Beogram 4500 or 6500 to match the set, but they are expensive.

Also, the turntable came with a MMC4 cartridge, which seems to fit - is it the right one?

    Thanks,  Michele

The Beomaster 4500 has no built in RIAA so you will need an external one. This will actually sort the other problem as if you ask Steve at Sounds Heavenly or Lee at LifestyleAV, they will no doubt be able to get you a RIAA with RCA inputs and DIN outputs.

The MMC4 should be fine - it is the standard fitting and a perfectly acceptable cartridge. The Soundsmith SMMC4 would be the recommended replacement should one be needed.
