Hi, I'm trying to hook up a pair of non B&O speakers to my 5500.. I have the two pin plugs that plug into the speaker outputs. Can someone tell me what pin is positive and negative?...the plugs have a small pin and a larger flat pin.

The spade is the negative, making the pin positive.

What kind of speakers are you using?

I'm using a pair of Mirrage OM 9 omnipolar speakers, Mirrage is a Canadian builder. I have alot newer high end audio equipment but I must say, this older B&O reciever is trully amazing, such a sweet sounding unit.

Nice speakers! Yes, the B&O amps are very impressive, mine is the best in the house.
