Beolit 1000 - Anyone have some tips on operation?

    Hello!

I recently purchased (and am awaiting delivery of) a rosewood finished Beolit 1000 (restored to like-new) and luckily a Beopower 1000 as well!  The ebay seller is jepsen57, a radio guy in Denmark that has worked with Frede of Classic Audio.  This persons work is analagous to Frede's on the Beolab 5000 systems, in case any are interested in a future Beolit purchase.

Anyway, I know there are service manuals on site but does anyone have a copy of the user manual or even some tips on operation?  There are a ton of buttons on this thing and like I said I'm still awaiting the shipment but I thought I would ask ahead of time.

    Thanks,

    Jon

I have been promised a Beolit 1000 user manual - should b on soon! I have a bad photocopied version. Frede supplies full manuals with his Beolab 5000 system.

Thanks Peter!  I will look forward to seeing the user manual for the Beolit 1000 as it would be wonderful to have a copy.

I have just emailed Peter with the scanned copy of the manual, hopefully its all ok to go on the site. Terrific things the Beolit 1000's. I would like to have mains transformer for mine, is there a modern alternative that can be used instead of a Beopower 1000?

Any 7.5V / 1.5A wall wart of decent quality (stabilized) will do, I think I paid 7 euros for mine at the nearest we-have-everything kind of store. But do note that the Beolit wants the positive pole on the outside of the plug, unlike most modern equipment! I got one that has a selection of replaceable plugs, selected the correct one and fixed it (in correct polarity) with shrink tube.
