I have a 1982 Beogram 1800. For sometime in order to get it to play I have had to spin the platter. I think it may be the belt as I have inspected it and it seems very thin and loose and slips off the track. Or is there something else I should do to revive this baby.

Sounds like a definite maybe! Martin (Dillen on site) can furnish you with a new one! Very elegant deck - I think it is the thinnest looking Beogram available!
