Sound problem on BV4-42 BS 2

    Hi all,

I want to test a pair of Beovox 3000 over an MCL2P on my BV4-42 . Previously I had a pair of BL2500 on it and it worked only when these were connected on the FRONT and the setup on the TV was Front speakers NONE. Same with the others.

Now I did connect a Y cable on both fronts on the Beosystem 2 and the other side to the MCL2P. However there is no sound coming nor the red lamp of the MCL2P is becoming Green.

The MCL2P was just removed from an Overture where it was working perfectly.

Any ideas would be very helpful!!

    Best regards

    Spiros

Your setup for only one pair of speakers is correct - connected to the FRONT output(s) and NONE in the speaker menu.

Both PL outputs for FRONT carry the LEFT AND the RIGHT signal - on all active speakers (exept the 2500s) you decide "L" or "R" on your speaker.

The MCL2p is a stereo component, there is no need to use a Y-connector when you connect it to one of your front outputs!

You will need a FULLY MOUNTED PL-Cable (the original PLs from the early 90's / the MK2 3,5mm type / the new 5.5mm double shielded type have all 8 pins connected)

    Hello Viena,

It could be the case, since I did try this now with another amp and it works perfectly alright.

I'll have to check the cabling I guess.

    Best regards
