    BeoVision 8 or BeoVision 6 22" ?

From what I can see, the BeoVision 8 is a newer product and with a larger LCD than the BeoVision 6 22". So my question is: Why is the BeoVision 8 cheaper than the BeoVision 6 22"?

I would like a new LCD to replace my Toshiba in the bedroom, therefore the size difference between the BeoVision 8 and BeoVision 6 22" isn't of such importance to me. I am more picky about the better sound, better picture, build quality and of course the price.
I'm sure there is a logical answer to all of this, but it does seem very odd. Your thoughts and comments would be very kind.

BV 8 is made of plastic and has no contrast screen. It does not offer the possibility to integrate a Surround module nor an integrated DVB-T (Freeview) module. The MasterLink plug is an option.

The metal and contrast screen used in other Beovisions are expensive to produce.

If picture quality is important, then I would recommend an MX over the BV6 every time.

I assume you do mean the BeoVision 6 22" which is no longer in production, and NOT the BeoCenter 6 23" which replaced it? There's a very very large difference between the two, mainly in terms of performance. A BeoVision 8 will outperform a BeoVision 6 without much difficulty, however the BeoCenter 6 (if you do mean it) is a step ahead of both in terms of performance, build quality and design (the grille makes a big difference). Also, the BeoCenter 6 has the capability of a built in DAB Radio, and is generally more feature rich.
