    Beocom6000 - No Signal

Hi - I am new to this forum and hope somebody maybe able to help me.

I have a Beocom6000 telephone (approx 6 yrs old) that has been working fine until a couple of days ago. It now has a 'No Signal' display.

I have looked back on previous posts and many have suggested unplugging and then plugging the phone back in. I have done that many times, even left it all unplugged for over 5 hours - but still 'No Signal'.

The only thing I can think of that may have upset the phone is a thunderstorn we had last week (although the phone did work for a couple of days after the storm). The phone was all unplugged before the storm arrived - could it still have done damage?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Not clear whether it is the handset that you have unplugged or the base unit (BeolinePSTN or whatever). Try unplugging the base unit and replugging it - this "robooting" may just kick it back into action. It could be that the thunderstorm interfered with the base unit memory, and it has "forgotten" your handset - in which case you could try registering your handset to the base again (see your instruction manual).

    Thank you for your response.

I have just got up this morning and the phone is now working. Rather than the 'No Signal' display it is asking me to re-set the clock. I will do that now and keep an eye on it (as it worked ok for a couple of days after the storm and then went off). Hopefully all is now ok.Smile
