    Re: BEOCENTER 7700

Record size is determined by record weight, not the chosen speed. Try with a 7inch and a 12inch record respectively.
Sounds like your Beocenter tape deck needs new belts, I can supply the belts, PM me for details.

    Re: BEOCENTER 7700

A 12 inch record is much heavier than a 7 inch. That's how the deck senses
what size record is on the platter.
Are the transport safety screws undone ?

The tapedeck belts are available as a set.
It's not one of the easiest decks to replace belts in but by far
the worst either. Mounting instructions with photos and text (english)
can be included if you need.

    Re: BEOCENTER 7700

I seem to have a related problem with my Beocenter 7700. Even with a record on the platter the unit flashes uu:uu. Would this be caused by a calibration problem in the weight sensor?  Any other ideas as to the cause? I have downloaded the service manual so will try the procedure there for adjusting the weight but would really appreciate a few instructions if anyone is familiar with doing this.

    Thanks

    Dylan
