    sound Quality

Hi, I'm new and have a few questions. I'm considering buying a used 5500 system, I remember going into my local sterio shop back in the 80's and listening to the amazing sound of the B&O systems. That was over 20 years ago. Technology has changed alot over the years, How well does the sound quality compare to modern systems?, am I better off buying something modern or go for that sound I remember from the 80's?...also will a 5500 reciever connect to a 7000 series CD player?...will I have remote control issues??

     Thanks for any info.

Just as good and  better compared to something new costing the same. Any peripheral device with Datalink can connect to the Beomaster so you can mix and match.

Where did you see this 5500? Just curious as I saw one I really liked, and the seller would not return emails, very frustrating. Just wondering if it was the same one.

Hi evman, the 5500 is for sale at a local pawn shop, I don't think it's the same one you're looking at...

Just wondering, complete systems are pretty rare here.
