I'm a new user on this site and forum, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question!

I recently bought a 2nd hand avant 32" crt, and the seller has offered me the BeoLab 8000, year 1999 speakers.  There are two of these speakers with no cables and look in good condition.

I would be grateful if anyone could suggest what would be a fair price for the speakers or any advice in what I should be looking for if there are any problems with the speakers.

I would say 1000 - 2000 euro depending on the condition. No cables is a few hundred euro less, but check them before you buy...

Im in the UK.

The ~£1200 would seem fair if they are in excellent condition and from a private seller.

Common fault is blown tweeters, about £30 each plus fitting. If both are gone then that's around a £200 bill for replacement, maybe more.

New frets are about £70 each and you will need to budget for a pair 'cos you are unlikely to be pleased with just replacing one!
