    Beovision 7-40 electronic curtain

    Hi,

does anyone know, if the time-setting electronic curtain can be changed. I would like the curtain to open only if there is a picture supplied. Today the curtaion opens far to early.

    Thanks

    Hi

Unfortunately i dont think it is possible to change the setting for the curtains. And you are absolutely not the only one bothered by this issue. No other low priced tv needs 30-40 sec. to start up the DVB module. Why not leave an option in the customer menu, where it is possible to choose whether you want your DVB-HD module to be "Online" and ready all the time, or the basic standard setting where it shuts off and uses half a minute to power up. The electronic curtains are absolutely useless if there is no picture and sound behind... My friends say "Wow, like in a cinema the curtains opens up to......a still picture?" ,and all while this happens the tv sounds like an old computer booting up with all the noises..

Come on B&O, stop compromising on the things that makes your product stand out from other products... Soon you will only stand out on prices, and what happens then??

Agree with Ehlerz. This is what you find in BS3 service manual regarding "EXTRA BLANKINGS Sub Menu":

    -------------------------------

    EXTRA BLANKING

It is possible to control the blanking time if for instance a Set-top box connected is

slow to synchronize to a satellite channel.

The startup of the picture is delayed (blanked) according to the setting belonging

    to the chosen input socket.

AV1-6 can be changed from 0-15 seconds in steps of 0.1 second.

    --------------------------------

Press MENU - MENU - scroll to OPTIONS - press RED - GO (Customer Service Menu) - press ADJUSTMENTS - press EXTRA BLANKING - that`s it.
