    Motorstand not working on MX7000

    Hi.

I have a MX7000 for which I bought an used stand. But I dont seem to be able to turn it by using the remote  "PICTURE" + << >>

When I enter MENU - SETUP - STAND,  I can turn it with << >> but only in small steps, one small step for each time I press << >> , and when I press 1 to 9 in the setup menu it moves all the way left right as it's supposed to.

When I turn the set on and off it also moves to the programed position and to neutral when put to st.by.

The MX7000 is Type 8700 and has sw. mx 4.00 and I'm using Beolink 1000 Mk. II and Mk. III

    Any ideas?

    Smile

You might want to try to unlpug TV for a minute or so , then insert motorstand plug and then replug the TV in.

That's your problem, that rather late software version apparently doesn't respond to the PICTURE + <</>> commands. It was designed to be used with a Beo4, which uses a differect command (STAND) to control the motor stands.

This is an unfortunate design choice / mishap by the B&O engineers - the same problem applies the other way round: you can't use a Beo4 to rotate TVs with older software... (apart from the saved positions of course).

In any case, there's nothing wrong with your TV or the stand if you can control it to at least this extent. Perhaps an incentive to get a Beo4 Smile
