    Master Control Panel 5500

First off, I just want to thank everyone on this forum because you've all been very helpful to me in getting my new Beosystem set up.  Now that that's out of the way, I have yet another question.  The display on my MCP 5500 started blinking about five minutes after I put new batteries into it.  I did a little bit of research and discovered that the display blinks when the batteries are low.  Well, I just put in brand new batteries, but they were cheap ones from a dollar store, so I figured that I had just got crappy batteries.  Then, I bought brand new Duracells and popped those in.  Less than five minutes later, the display started blinking again!  And a few minutes after that, it switched from the cd player to the radio by itself.  What could the issue be?

Are any of the buttons jammed with dirt or a sticky residue ?

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

As far as I can tell, no.  They're all equally "clicky."  Although the treble and loudness buttons (which are next to eachother) don't seem to ellicit any response from the Beomaster.  Any suggestions?
