Differences between Beocord 1800 and 2400

    Hello

What are the differences between the Beocord 1800 and the Beocord 2400?

I have come across a really nice 1800 with original manuals and a rather used 2400. Not sure what to go for. I have always wanted the Beocord 2400, and as far as I know the 1800 was a simplified version of the 2400 - but what is the differences between the two ?

    Best Regards

    Vifa

The 2400 has a power amplifier built in. I would suggest looking at the Beocentral article here. Tim knows a lot about these decks - the 2400 was mine for a while!

As far as I can see from the article, the only difference is power amp and 'mixing facilities'.

Is the power amp really necessary ? If connected to a Beolab 5000...

What is the mixing facility ?
