I have a Beosystem 3 with a 7.1 speaker setup. When playing 5.1 sound via PCM from the PS3, sound comes out of the left and right surround speakers instead of the rear speakers. It even does this when playing a DVD as well as Blu-Ray. 5.1 through all other sources (BeoCenter 2 DVD, cable box, etc.) uses the rear speakers instead of the left and right surround speakers.
Is there anyway to use the settings in either the PS3 or the BS3 to use the rear speakers for 5.1 instead of the left and right surround speakers? I know that you can assign the left and right speaker role to the rear speakers in the BS3 setup, but I still want to be able to use all 7.1 speakers when playing 7.1 Blu-Rays.
Perhaps it's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer the rear channels in 5.1 to come from the rear speakers and not the left and right surround speakers.
