I have a Beovision 8-40 and Humax STB. The Beo5 was supplied programmed to control the Humax, my problem is that it is unusable slow often taking 5s+ to respond to commands, is this normal

I am assuming the Humax STB is being controlled via the PUC in the Beovision 8-40 and NOT directly from the Beo5 ?

If you use the original Humax remote control does it also take 5+ seconds to respond ?

Yes it is controlled via the PUC and I am using the original Humax remote which works fine

In that case what you are seeing is almost certainly the inbuilt delay in case you are for example entering several digits of a channel number.

When you have to press OK (Centre button) press it twice quickly will override the timed period.
