    Beosystem 2 and Sony TV

    Hi all,

New look beoworld looks great!! I wondered if any technical whizz kids could help me with a problem?

I had a Sahara Projector connected to a Beosystem 2 via the VGA and wow it worked a treat!! Just turned on the projector and then everything worked via the Beo 4 including all my links and surround sound. Divorce has forced me to move to a smaller place and have connected the Beosystem 2 to a new Sony 50" (sorry can't stretch to a fabulous BeoVision 4 at the moment), into the PC input of the Sony via the VGA output of the BeoSystem 2. When I select the PC input of the Sony all it says is input not supported?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

You should check the video modes in VGA supported by the Sony. I suspect that the TV only supports 60Hz in through the VGA socket - while the BS2 outputs 576p at 50Hz. Hence the message.

All is not lost though - you can get a £175 box which (from the specs) looks like it will sit in-line between the BS2 and the Sony. Here is the link: http://www.lektropacks.com/view_item.php?product=35&&category=143

    Hi Tigger ,

I have a similar problem , trying to conect a Panasonic TH42PX700 to a Beosystem 2 ( sofware 1.6 mk3  version 2 HD ) with no luck , I have tried the Lektropacs CP251F but still no video output , if you look at my posting I have found ( or Ithink I have ) that the video is switched on by a feedback signal from the B&O panel on pin 13 the horizontal sync control  , very similar to a PC monitor when it autosizes the screen

If you have found any info getting the Beosystem 2 to operate with other non B&O opanels could you please advise
