I wouldn't have thought so Vince, not a big enough market. More like a sideline hobby/project for an enthusiast I would suggest.

Agreed. And nowadays most smartphones have a good enough web browser to just read the forum directly anyway. The layout doesn't work too well on  narrow displays though, but that's mostly a nuisance, not a hindrance.

Dunno how many have noticed this, but the forums have RSS feeds available as well. There are probably RSS readers available for iPhone, which might make it easier to just see what the current topics are in case you're waiting for an answer, or something similar.

I do develop for the iPhone, and thought about the same thing exactly.

Viewing post from the iPhone is OK, but a "UITableView" type navigation would be much better.

Posting for the iPhone just does not work for some reason, unless you turn to plain text.

I thought about building it, and then possibly selling it, but thought that could be a problem as promoting it one this forum would actually be seen as advertising and would possibly be against the rules.

As mentioned, I use the normal browser to follow Beoworld when away from base - reading is fine although replying is a bit of a faff. (replied using my piephone)

I am sure an approach to Lee would be met favourably.

I have recently purchased an app called tapatalk (check it out on app store). If a Beoworld app can not be made, could Beoworld be put on tapatalk? Its brilliant for another forum i frequent (Uk Plumbers Forum).

Lee, check it out. It says if your forum is not listed (Beoworld isnt) just ask the forum administrator to install the server extension, and its free.
