    What does this mean?

I was trying to post an answer and when I sent it I recived like feedback this notice:

"You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.

If the administrator has configured this forum to support email notifications you will receive an email when your post is either approved or denied (if you have emails enabled in your profile). "

I´m still waiting some email or PM explaining to me why didn´t the post was published because I didn´t writte something rude at all.

The post was sending in the Spanish forum, in Spanish and nowadays it yet isn´t showed in the forum.

    Re: What does this mean?

This simply means that the post needs to be checked by a moderator as the system discovered a suspicious word/ sentence in the post. Normally, it takes some hours till the moderator has checked an approved/ disapproved. By the way: who moderates the spanish forum?

The Spanish forum was aways rather small before we moved and Sergio kept an eye on it. I think he is rather busy these days and the forum is a lot busier. Would the Spanish members like to suggest a candidate as a new moderator?

He will need to be discrete and well thought of amongst the membership. Moderators are privy to some information that is classified and which cannot be divulged! It is important that the member who takes on this responsibility realises this! Laughing

    Re: What does this mean?

The Spanish forum is very good natured and works well but a moderator is there to keep things tidy, delete duplicate posts, correct errors and help direct people to the correct help areas. It should be as if there is no moderator and everything just works perfectly. If a moderator is very obviously changing things, he is not doing things properly in my view! It would also seem fair that the Spanish contingent have a representative on the moderation team which does help in making decisions on how the site works.

I thought Santiago was a moderatorHuh?
He surely doesn't have to live in Spain to be a Spanish moderator, does he?

    Re: What does this mean?

    Hi Gerd,

the problem lies with the Beoworld spam filters which basically requires pre-moderator previews of posts containing links. A bit of a pain but at least it stops any unsavoury postings from freeloaders using Beoworld as a showcase. I'll approve the post in question.Smile

PS. I agree with Peter that the Sanish forum could use a moderator as it is very busy and none of the current team have a deep enough understanding of the language. The Spanish section does indeed moderate itself very well which is a huge compliment to you all (Sanish members) for being such excellent ambassadors, but a moderator would make life sooo much easier for everyone with semingly trivial matters such as approving posts etc.... which at present requires us non Spanish speakers to decypher. Any volunteers or candidates would be very welcome I'm sure.

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.
