I have a pair of P45s whit four frozen woofers after a bumpy ride whit the Norwegian postal service, i was thinking about making a dummy voice coil in some solid non magnetic material,maybe stainless steel or nylon, my plan is to use the voice coil dummy to perfectly align the magnet and the basket when i glue them together again,of course i have to remove the cones to do this and buy new surrounds for them.

Does this sound like it might work?

I forgot to mention that the vc dummy would have to be just as wide as the hole i the basket and the hole inn the vc would have to be narrower to align the basket and the magnet.
