    BeoGram 9500 MMC2 - compatibilty question

    Hello all,

Could anyone answer the following question that has come in to me from an ebayer :

Can the Beogram 9500 work with non b&o amplifiers?  or does it need to be connected to other b&o equipment to function..?

Many thanks to anyone that can help me out on this.

    Regards,

    Michael.

It will work fine but obviously no remote control, as this is controlled via the Beomaster/Beocenter. You need an amplifier with an RIAA built in or an external one and remember that the MMC2 is a moving iron design so is treated as moving magnet but has slightly lower output. You need to turn the amplifier up about a notch more than expected.
