    Programming a BeoSound Overture

I would like my Overture to switch on and select the Auxiliary input every morning, but I don't see AUX when scrolling through the sources when programming. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. - Jonathan

If the Ouverture cannot do it, and you've got 300 Euro to spare, you could do it with the Beotime.

Hi, AUX is assumed to be a 'non-B&O' source and thus would not respond to timer 'on' commands and is therefore not listed for such purposes. However, ironically, I have a Beocenter 2300 (Overture with no tape player) but when I set my AVANT timer to turn on 'TAPE' then the AUX input of my Beosound is selected (because it's assumed that the first additional source I would add would be an external tape deck maybe). But again, as I only have my PC connected to that socket then the PC does not turn on, of course, even though a 'TAPE.PLAY' beolink command has been sent by the AVANT.  I used to have a Beomaster 5500 and the timer play AUX was not allowed either, if I remember correclty.

Jack - Thanks for the info. I would like it to come on when my Mac wakes up and streams to Airport Express, which is connected to AUX. I tried connecting my CD 7000 to the Aux, and it comes up as PHONO when I power it up. But PHONO isn't available as a source during programming either.

Interesting about the 5500. I was using a Beomaster 5000 with the AE connected to Tape 2 and it worked fine.

try the PHONO or A.Tape2 as source while programming; it "opens" the same connection!.

Note: the connected source on the A.Aux (if it is a non B&o or B&o but without datalink) must be switched on and working!
