    u264b prescaler. Is a u664b equivalent?

I am looking for a u264b to repair a BM8000.  They appear to be obsolete but a few sites tell me that a u664b will also work (same functionality but will work to 1GHz).  Does anybody know if they do work as a replacement?

I have found a site in Germany that has one original in stock but he needs a minimum order of 10 euro and I am stuggling to find anything else on the site worth ordering...

The newer U664B comes in several different versions but none of the ones I have tried worked. Sad
I remember one of them just flickered the digits wildly and I switched it off rapidly.

I have a few original IC's still in stock but if you can get an original IC for less than EUR 10 in Germany, I suggest you grab it and run.  Laughing
That's about half the price when they were available, many years ago.
