    CX 100 ?

I'm searching for CX 100 aluminum, to be part of my vintage system with BG1202 and BM901.

Of course in good working condition Smile

    Thanks

    Re: CX 100 ?

Not really the same era - CXs are not that efficient and the 901 not that powerful. I would actually consider something a little older. Beovox 901s spring to mind for some reason!!

    Thanks Lee !

My problem is space ... I need to find something really small for my bookshelf.

I was thinking about CX50, but compare to the CX100 is not to much price difference, but huge difference in sound I think.

What about a pair of Beovox 1702s?  Much closer vintage,  efficient, nice wood cabinet and small.  Martin (Dillen) likes them a lot.  Only problem is they don't appear for sale very often in UK but mainland Europe may be different.

I have just finished refoaming my CX100s and will be soldering the drivers back in tonight.

I will test them with my Beolab 1700 (similar amp to your Beomaster) and let you know how they sound together

Despite his earlier comment Lee does have a nice-looking pair of aluminium  CX100's in stock!

My colleague has a pair of 1702's in great condition, and I know they are just gathering dust at the moment! I can ask him what he doing with them if you are interested?

    Thanks

    Llewelyn,

If nMartin 771 isn't interested and the 1702s are in Rosewood, I would be very interested!!!

    Hi Cleve

They are teak! They would match nmartins 901 though, I know because it used to belong to me :)

If either of you are interested I can ask him for you and put you in touch.

Thanks Llewelyn, bu I'll pass on that.

The more I think about Nmartin's 1203/901 the more I think the 1702s would be perfect for him.  In fact, the three items are shown as a system in a photograph in the Danish 1973 catalogue on this site.

Thanks Simon ! I would be happy to hear your opinion Smile

One of our members offer me great deal for his CX 100 and it is better than Lee's.

But first, yes thanks to Llewelyn I have beautiful BM901 teak Smile

And Llewelyn I would be happy to see them and considerate this option as well.

Please ask your colleague and you can sand me pictures ....

I couldn't find dimensions of beovox 1700, and as I mentioned above it is really important for me...

Can you tell me dimensions of bv1700 ?

Remember when you buy CX100s, the foam rots! The ones Lee sells will have new drivers - make sure the ones you are offered have the same.

    Re: CX 100 ?

I think Lee and Peter are right, and I should try to find some beovox from that age to pair with my vintage system ...

So, please lock or delete this topic.

    Thanks Smile
