    Beosound 9000 - stand / bracket Issues

    Hi all,

I've recently got a Beosound 9000 that used to be on a vertical stand and as such has 4 'pegs' sticking out the back etc.

I've also put a horizontal wall bracket up as its new home and was about to attach the large 'plate' to the back of the BS when I suddenly thought - how do I do it!!!

Unfortunately I didn't get any manuals or screws with the wall bracket and have tried looking at the manual section here but to no avail!

Can anyone tell me / send me what I should be doing?

Are the pegs easy to remove? and what should I use to connect the wall plate to the rear of the BS?

    Many thanks etc.

P.S. I know about the arrow changing for location etc. :-)

If you look in the service manual there are pictures which show all the stands/brackets and the fittings required!!

Whoever sold you the items is a real spreader of joy and happiness. You have a BS9000 with redundant fittings on the back.

The guy that buys the floor stand will get no fittings and you have a wall bracket and no fittings.

Your wall bracket is useless without the correct screws and spacers as is the floor stand without the screws and fittings.

All this caused because the sellers just wanted to take the money and couldn't care less about the unfortunate buyers.

    Hi Jason,

Many many thanks they arrived safe and sound.

Just need to try and get the 'old' lugs off the back now....

I can't see any screw holes at the top etc, so do I just use a pair of pliars on them?

    Cheers

    Hi Guy,

    glad you got them,

i take it you mean it has the 4 floor stand lugs still on the unit ?, a philips head or allan key will remove them,

pack some bubble wrap inbetween the glass before you turn the machine over onto its front so you dont put any excess pressure on the glass.

place the 4 spacers over the 4 holes, place the bracket over the spacers and screw them in, job done

when attaching the smaller long thin bracket section to the wall, borrow a small child to hang off it making sure the wall screws will hold your bs9000, dont forget to put 6 cds in the childs pocket Stick out tongue

    What a nana!

Managed to get the unit near some daylight and tried an allen key on what had looked like just a round hole and hey presto they just screw off!?!?!?!?!

That will teach me to try and be careful with something instead of just manhandling stuff the way I usually do!!!!!

Cheers to everyone as usual and if anyone needs a spare set....... ;-)

Oh by the way small child fell off and broke but BS9000 seems to stay up ok, so success all round then!
