I have just purchased a known defective BV3/32 for its Surround module & STB/C but am also considering a repair if if won't cost more than the TV is actually worth
When you press TV the standby light goes to green but there is no sound or picture and you have to remove power lead from the set to put it back into standby.
The TV worked briefly when I first turned it on and was re-tuning it. I then suddenly noticed a red hue and flyback lines visible in the raster and simultaneously the PSU then appeared to fail (no bang or anything) but rather than an orderly power down the picture just collapsed to 3 dots in the middle of the tube.
I see from the service manual that B&O recommend a replacement chassis. Does anyone know the going rate for one of these replacement chassis ? Are there any known faults in the PSU for this type of set ? The BeoWorld field service manual talks about the availability of the full schematics for component level fault finding. Does anyone have this schematic and does it contain any repair tip missing from the field service manual.
The TV is a 2003 model and there are no obvious cracked joints.

Re: PSU problem on BV3/32
Seriously - i hope you can fix this!
It was diagnosed by the previous owners dealers service center (if that makes sense) as needing a tube. I'd love you to prove them wrong and get the bargain of the year!
I never tested it myself, but it's not something i'd get involved in. All i can say is, i hope you can fix it !!
Hope your good lady got all the shopping done btw

Re: PSU problem on BV3/32
Hi Lee
We had a really good trip and just about got all we came over for.
I don't think it is the tube. It now has a hard PSU fault. The PSU makes no attempt to startup and even starting in bus-ignore node make no difference. I checked the tube for shorts and there are none and the heater filament is 4 ohms.
It's something to play with for a while but as I said in the shop, the remote, surround module and STB are worth what I paid for it so anything else is a bonus...
