    CD4 Demodulator adjustment

    Hi all,

    I have a BG6000 Quad here, which I got without a cartridge.

    I put on both my MMC20EN and SMMC2 to test, and I am getting high-frequency distortion (yes, the CD4 switch is OFF). Singers' voices sound scratchy. Instrumentals also sound scratchy.

    In the Service Manual, B&O state that after a cartridge change, the Channel Separation and Carrier Wave Detector must be adjusted again.

    Even though these appear to be simple procedures, before I start adjusting any pots, has anyone seen this and gone down this road before, who can offer tips?
