    BV7 40 MKII - HDMI options?

This is the BV7 without the beosystem 3.  Just had the firmware upgraded.  In the options menu under HDTV I can now select HDMI 1 - 4.

Is it possible a hardware update is now available for this television to allow multiple HDMI inputs...??

    Beoaus.

I guess that must be some kind of mistake. There was a rumour that there would be a HDMI 'switch box' from B&O that would enable MKII owners to connect multiple HDMI cables. However, you could only use one of them at any one time - you only have a single DVI socket. A single socket can't be turned in to multiple inputs.

The software update gives you the possibility to add a hdmi switcher. the switcher is controlled via PUC.

I believe this is the one:

Personally I am somewhere between these two responses..... and for this reason.  It is possible to switch HDMI sources into a single DVI socket, agreed, however by doing so you omit the audio feed.

This goes back to the questions to be put to the UK CEO - you have to run scart for audio, and really SPDIF for digital 5.1 - try squeezing that lot into the back of your 7-40 MK1/2!!
