    Hi Sprozio

You have to enter the menu on your set-up box and change format there

    Hi,

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Now, even with the set-up box unpluged, the image is always in 4:3, even in the coaxial (RF) input .

    Any other ideas?

It's more than likely the format 1 setting, switch the TV on (terrestrial at this stage) and choose a channel that you know is broadcast in 16:9 then press list on the Beo4 repeat until FORMAT appears in the display then press 1.  When you have done that press th >> button and see if you can get it back to it's correct format, if I'm remembering correctly they're 3 options in that mode just choose the correct one.

pressing >> for format might not do anything, if not, you can simply press 3 (after selecting format of course). I've had this issue as well with my set top box. You M U S T ensure your set top box settigs are correct. The BV3 ratio is always going to be automatic and even if you do change the format automatically it will revert back to format 1 until it gets the right signal for the format 3.

Also make sure that you use a full SCART cable.
