beomaster 2200 switch cleaning some basic advice appricated

Hi all has anyone got any advice on cleaning the switches on the front of this unit. when i got it it had been dormant for a few years. when powered up the volume bass and treble sliders crackled when moved but a few flicks up and down fixed it the only problem left is the input buttons crackle when touched .this is not really a huge problem just annoying .should i strip and use some sort of spray or leave it alone

ps is this a danish or jap unit

    many thanks tom

danish, and a very interesting one with regards to its construction...

search the forums re: bm2200 [note: you may be confusing it w/ the bc2200... which was partially japanese, hitachi???]

thanks jeff had decided i liked it if it was jap or not but still would have felt cheated if i found made in japan on it. i bought it on ebay for £40  so i'm really pleased glad you rate it so much .do you have any experiance with 4 ohm vs 8 ohm speakers on this im currently running jbl control 1 's @ 8 ohms and wondered if a 4 ohm speaked would suit it better

    thanks

    tom
