beovox1 or beolab4 in the bathroom?

    good morning to all!

i need absolutely some music in my bathroom for the morning shower, but i'm not sure what will be better. should i go for the specific BV1 with the nice and useful IR "eye" or maybe for a pair of BL4( mounted on the ceiling ?) wich will probably give a better sound?

i have to put a bomb in my bathroom for the reconstruction, so there is no problem to hide the passive kit in the ceiling or wall.

    grateful for every suggestion

    have a nice day

Whilst the suggestion of a BeoLab 3500 is a good one, the choice really depends on other factors other than sound quality and looks etc.

If the bathroom is small in size and has/will have limited ventilation, then the Beolab 3500 will be a non starter because it will become damaged over time, in such a situation, then waterproof speakers will be needed, then the BeoVox 1 is a consideration.

If your bathroom is well ventilated and large and water will not be anywhere near the equipment, then the BeoLab 3500 would be a good option.

    Regards Keith....

    Hello,

I would go for the BeoVox 1 as it is indeed designed for such enviornments because it has no in-built power, it also would hide well unlike beolab 4.

Have you heard the BeoVox 1 ? If not go into your local showroom and try both out, you may be surprised at what you hear ! :D

Personally I wouldn't put ANY active speaker in a steamy/humid bathroom environment.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

    Hello,

first - sorry for my english. I bought a pair of IWS 2000 Wallspeaker at ebay (150 EUR) and put them into the cealing by using the extra-speaker-kit. You can hide this kit in the case of the IWS. The sound is very good and you don´t have big and ugly speaker in the wall or somewhere else in your bathroom.

    Greettings from germany

Certainly Chrshaug suggestion of using IWS 2000 speakers is excellent solution if you can get a set.

Your English is just perfect except for your spelling of "Greettings" and "Cealing"

Mein Deutsch ist sehr arm, so bin ich zufrieden, dass Ihr Englisch von solchem hohem Standard ist

    Regards Keith....
