I have a real dumb question but I couldn't find any answer:

Does the Beosound 5 controller has s.th. like a standby indicator, e.g. a red Led like  other Musicsystems?

At the rear of the screen panel, top right hand side, approx 1cm in and down, there is a tiny "hair-pin" trigger which switches the unit to standby.

The Red LED is in the same position of the screen side.

so it's not clearly visible on the front glass? I didn't even notice the standby switch on a display unit in the store!?
 

It is clearly visible. Similar to a BV7 screen with red standby led. The switch is a very small button at the rear as 10% said.
