Acronyms Can Right Often Numb Your Mind.
A Yorkshire acronym ! (shouldn't that be ..reet often ??)
It should indeed but I have to consider our non-English members here (well that's my excuse anyway)
Thank you Chris for your consideration; otherwise I would need to ask one of my dumb questions: "what's a 'reet'?".

That's how I remember it also. One abbreviation I missed is RTFM. It's mostly used on other forums where people are less polite. RTFM : Read The Fucxxxx Manual. Beobuddy.

EOB: hi wandering how life is in durban ? kind regards eob
Its great thanks. Beautiful weather, beautiful beaches. Lovey houses with big gardens. I love it here. I really can't complain except that there aren't enough B&O's here. They only re-entered the South African market a couple of years ago, but they are doing really well. So people in Durban "BUY B&O!!!"

Re: What does ******* mean?
TO: Britops, Tom, Puncher, Jandyt, Dillen, Christian & Medogsfat Sorry, mates [and moderators]! Blame it on my lack of technical know-how. I tried to delete the earlier post quotes, leaving only Medogsfat's post to which I wanted to reply. However, I continuously received a warning that my reply could not be posted as there was something wrong with the quoted material. BTW: did we set any records?

Re: What does ******* mean?
An acronym frequently used in my neck of the woods is TLA (Three Letter Acronym) as this appears to be the most popular type. If you forgot the acronym used you can always refer to "TLA"

Hi, Andy. Yes, but I can edit the ones to which I am replying -- see the example of your quoted post. I was trying to do that when replying to Medogsfat but failed. Guess I am still a dinosauer when it comes to understanding modern day technology.

Hi Wings, yes we probobly set a record here and at least tested the system to destruction levels so it was quite a good technical exercise in the end To edit quotes you need to keep the closing brackets of the opening quote and the delete any information you don't want to appear in between there and the opening brackets of the closing quote - hope this makes some sense. Chris.

When I ask B&O for spareparts, at least the ones I normally need, I usually receive an NLA (No Longer Available). Martin

Thanks ! (since 'twas I who asked tonight on the WED night thread)
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
