How to get laptop's audio on BeoLab 2000? Please help me out

    Hi everyone,

    this is out setup:

    Living room: BeoSound 9000 + 2x BeoLab 8000 + a BeoVision television (don't recall which one)

Bathroom: BeoLab 2000 (connected to beovision + beosound)

Now, I'd like to connect my laptop (MacBook Pro) to this set-up somehow, so I can hear the laptop's audio in the bathroom (through the BeoLab 2000 that is)

What would be the easiest/best way to accomplish this? Maybe with an AirPort Express? (wireless audio solution by Apple -> has a regular 3,5mm audio minijack)

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT:

Preferrably a solution which doesn't involve me buying any other expensive equipment ... (cables etc are allowed of course)

You cannot accomplish this locally. Unlike the BeoLink Active Kit which has a local input, the BeoSound 2000 can only pull sound from Audio & Video Masters. You will connect the laptop to the A.AUX input on the 9000 and if you want to control it sitting in the can, you can use iremote on your iPhone or iPod touch.

    B&O in the bathroom. What a fancy-pants!

     ok thanks.

a few last questions: where is the A.AUX located on the 9000? and do I need some sort of special cable or will a regular audio cable suffice?

Audio aux is located on the backside together with rest of the inputs and outputs. No special B&O cable is needed.

You do need a special cable, you need a DIN to RCA adapter.

Does the Beosound 9000 have optical S/PDIF inputs?

Than you can just use an optical S/PDIF-cable as the Macbook Pro has optical out, too.

If not, go for the DIN-RCA-Adapter that Bayerische mentioned!

The bS9000 has SPDIF input only. A coaxial one.
