    Will UK spec Beolab 3 speakers work in Canada?

    Any advice/experience welcomed. I have searched around and checked out the specifications here;

     http://www.bang-olufsen.com/UserFiles/File/ts/BeoLab3_en.pdf

    but have not been able to find an easy answer.

    I will be spending a fair amount of time indoors avoiding the freezing Winnipeg winter and would like to take my British Beolab 3 speaker. But will they work with a Canadian power supply?

    Thanks.

    Hi

    No, they won't just plug & play' as the voltage in Canada is different to the UK.

    You can either use a voltage converter (see our FAQ section article on them) or your engineer can do a simple tweak to the 'insides' for them to run on 110v.

    Thanks for that. A transformer seems a lot of hassle so maybe I will just buy some cheap speakers in Canada to see me through.

    The job cannot take more than I hour. It's only a question of adding a jumper to each speaker. Easy for any service technician
