    Beogram 4002 tone arm mechanism

    Hello,

There is one of these in local auction, and the seller tells that, the cord that moves the arm, is broken.

Could someone tell me, how is the arm moved? Is it a cord or a leadscrew or what. I looked at service manual briefly, and did not notice any cord nor instructions to replace it.

If it's a cord, are they still available? And is it a challenge to change and adjust it?

    BR,

    Pekka

It's a threaded shaft, driven by a motor and a belt. Maybe he refers to the belt, which is available and easy to replace if that's the only fault.
