I like the design of the hardware, but the interface looks absolutely awful. I've been told by my dealer that UK dealers expect their demo units by this Friday. We'll get to see it in person soon.

Re: BeoSound 5 - where are the pics?
The design doesn't actually give me a "wow" when I saw the photos... It's so not normal B&O style.... I actually prefer David Lewis and jacob jensen design more than this, Their designs are absolutely fantastic. Their design can easily stands for ten years or more, and absolutely still look fantastic today. Just like the old beocenter, beogram series, beolab 8000, beolab 4000, beosound 9000, beosound 3200 etc. I got a beocenter 9500, and I love it most, it just like a piece of art.
In history, all B&O design are all about special and unique, but for the beosound 5....hmmmm...

I guess that's because the latest products have symmetry when designed by the same person? Same with the older Jensen kit?

Not sure if left-handed people will appreciate BS5 the same way as righties. It would have been cool if somehow the screen could be rotated (think conrol panel of BS9000) and graphics flipped (think Serene) to suit them better. Maybe it can, and they have 'R' and 'L' versions? (full disclosure: I'm a rightie)

Looks quite simple! Even a sheep could work it!

Saf, when the first pictures of the BS5 appeared on beoworld there was a long thread with the first leaked photos in which i suggested exactly the same thing, yet no one picked up on it, or made comment on it. Im glad im not the only one to think the same. Oh, and im also right handed

That's 'coz this leftie won't be buying one As pretty as it is (or not depending on your personal opinion) basically we are hearing all about a "pretty" box with a new navigation system, of which they seem really proud, for browsing your digital music collection. I'd be far more interested in hearing about the full capabilities and potential of the BM5.
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
