    beogram 6500 question

I posted this question in the beogram section, but due to lack of response decided to put it here also.!!

    "

Hello to all,  My beogram 6500 has a small fault i think,  once the record has stopped playing and the stylus arm has returned to its resting position, the machine turns off ok, but the small light which lights up the record surface remains on.

    Any thoughts anyone?

    cheers Sandy."

Unusual! Never heard of this but clearly a fault - I take it is on all the time then? Or does it turn off when the system is in stand by?

Yes it remains on when the beogram is plugged into mains.  I have it standalone and plugged into my BS 9000 6cd player.

Well this is the circuit with the bulb in it - I suppose the transistor is faulty - how much does it bother you? You could just take the bulb out - I think they are fairly useless anyway!
