    Beovision 4 37" + Beosystem 2

I have a couple of questions on the above system:

    - How would you rate the picture quality compared to the current BV7-32" or BV8 32"?

    - How reliable is this system? Is this a known very robust system or is it known for quality issues?

    - What is the difference between the make 1, 2 and 3 versions of the beosystem 2?

    - My idea is to use this setup as a 'temporary system'; once the display quality is too bad or I really 'need' to have HD; then I intend to buy a non B&O tv with a digital audio out. After that I would use the BS2 only as a sound processor. I think this should work; do you see any problems here?

    Thanks for the feedback!

Well both the BV 4 37 and the BV7 are quite behind and would not compare to BV8.

I personally do not believe in these sort of workarounds, where you complement B&O with non B&O components. Do you must have surround? What is the price that you would pay for BV8 versus BV4?

I think with BV7 32 to be refreshed in the coming year, a BV7 no DVD version to be released and the BV8 40" on the horizon I would save up for that. Exiting times for entry level TVs I guess.

I agree that combining with other brands is not ideal; but unfortunately I feel 'forced' to do so. I really want to have surround (I am a big movie fan) and within the current range of B&O tv's I feel you have to pay too much. Yesterday I spend quite some time at my dealer and I could not not justify the needed investment. My wife had the best idea so far: Sell all our current B&O equipment and buy a complete new installation of another brand . Needles to say that I looking furiously at alternatives.

The BV4/BS2 options seemed nice in a sense that it would get me a full working system now and leave the option open to incorperate a non B&O tv later.

Therefore I hope to get all my questions related to this setup answered.
