I get MP3 files without charging as I download them with EMule or similar programme.

You can't say that's an option for everyone though. If it was, there wouldn't be any music...

@beofan2 BM5 handles different formats among them lossless.

Do you exactly know what lossless formats?

I don't see why I would want to download an album when I can buy it for the same price or thereabouts and get a physical copy which is sonically superior.

    Same here. Cool

I agree also but in the not too distant future, the physical CD will be a rare item not unlike vinyl records.  When A/V manufacturers, record companies, and software companies have concluded their squabbles, there might be high quality downloads everyone will buy without hesitation.  In the meantime, I buy the CD from Amazon, rip it, and into a storage box it goes.  Occasionally, I receive an email from Amazon asking it I would like to sell a CD that I had purchased.  I think I might try selling CDs on Amazon if it is easy.

I have already purchased classical music from deutschegrammophon.com.  The downloads are at 320 kps which include cover art and liner notes.  I would prefer the downloads be lossless but the sound is very good as it is.

I agree - CD is destined to the same market type as vinyl, although it will always be a little more prevalent IMO as it's closely tied in with digital media. Vinyl is so far detached from other formats nowadays that it can only be of any use to those who are dedicated.
