Like Stefan, I also have setup which is not based on B&O's suggested products. The Stewart Screens are without any doubt the best on the market, but very very expensive. I have a motorized mult masking screen (Davision) and a JVC HD1 projector. Both are controlled by the Lintronic box, the screen via IR and the projector via RS232. Works without any problem.
In the future I will integrate light control with the JB Media Interface which is now available as a pro version to set light levels by percentage with an RF light control system like the F20.

This is the budget way to go, may be not that relaible as the EIB/KNX or full Crestron integration but for a fraction of the cost.
