    Non RIAA Beograms

    Hey all,

OK, so I want a record deck for my BC 9500, which has the RIAA circuit in it. This means I need a Beogram without the RIAA circuit in it. I know the BG9500, BG3300 and BG3000 do not have it. Are there any others? Specifically looking for a linear tracking unit that is affordable.

The 3000 is the ideal as it matches to a certain extent, but the 5005 and 5500 can be added to the list. I actually use a Beogram 4004 - it doesn't have Datalink but you have to get up to clean the record anyway! The 8000 and 8002 are Datalink and don't have RIAAs as well and are markedly superior in some ways.

    Hi Silicon,

I will go along with that.  I have a 3000 unit, and have had since about '81, still in perfect condition and still doing me grand service.  The local B & O engineers seem to like it as well.  I have been quoted stupid prices, (from £200 - £550) but I am afraid that it is not for sale!
