    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Diving Station - Boards of Canada, from the album Geogaddi (on vinyl... woop!).

I'm really glad to own this album on vinyl. It's IMO one of the best electronic albums of all time...

OMD's Greatest Hits - It's quite amazing how good they were (and how overlooked at the time) - synth pop at it's finest!

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Listened to that myself a few weeks ago for the first time in ages. Just love all that early 80's synth music.

"Joan of Arc" is brilliant - it gives me goosebumps - it's probably not the one you think, it's this, -  rather than this - that's called "Maid of Orleans"Big Smile

Yazoo - Upsatirs At Erics. Fantastic vocals from Alison Moyet and the superb keybord playing of Vince Clarke. What more could you ask for.

Listening to The Who - Baba O'Riley at the minute. Also been listening to The Police quite abit recently, but that's because I got tickets to their concert in June at Stormont, Belfast.

Martin Simpson - Prodigal Son.  Splendid Album - saw him last year at Cambridge, the CD does not dissapoint.

Also been giving the Robert Plant / Alison Kraus album a lot of time - it gets better & better.

Guided by Voices rule in the car at the moment, follwed closely by Editors, whilst at work I have recently been subjecting colleagues to large doses of AfroCelts and Rory Gallagher.

Also, just digging out some Leonard Cohen, in anticipation of June.

Something - The Beatles. Abbey Road isn't exactly my favourite Beatles album (that goes to Magical Mystery Tour) but it does have some brilliant songs on it.

Do it Yourself - The Seahorses.

I'd lost the CD ages ago but it turned up, as if by magic, yesterday. I'm enjoying listening to it again - I'd forgotten what a good album it is.

I remember getting very excited when 'Love is the Law' was released as the first single from this album, as I've always been a massive Stone Roses fan. I'd love it if they re-formed.

Currently listening to 'I Never Want an Easy Life if Me and He Were Ever to Get There' by The Charlatans :)

i love vinyl , reminds me of the joy of playing a laserdisc

the smell , the paper lining the massive album art etc

plus the bno record players like the 4004 etc were so much sexier than a cd player
