    re using avant motorized stand

    hi can anyone help me my 28"avant recently died so i have purchased a 42" pioneer plasma(sorry i just couldnt afford a b & o)

    i am wondering if i could somehow use my old avant as a motorized stand for my new plasma

    any suggestions?

    I don't know but this seems to be far too difficult to countenance. The Beo4 is used to control the stand and as you are probably aware the B&O IR codes are unique to B&O. Also, the stand on the Avant gets its signal from the IR reciever which is installed on the television and the way the television and stand communicate is via the scart which connects the two together.

     Thus, you would probably be better off buying a third party stand which can be rotated independent of the televison it is sitting under.
