I'd like to restore my BeoCenter 7000

    Hi guys,

I am a proud owner of a BeoCenter 7000 (it's my dad's hi-fi) from early 80's and now I'd like to restore it and start to listen LPs with it.

I've jusy found the right man to repair the mechanical parts but the plexiglass cover on the left side is broken.  I need to find a genuine spare part to replace it, but I have no idea of where I can purchase it... Is it still available directly from B&O?

Please give me your suggestion to solve this problem!

    Cheers,

    Giacomo

B&O maintains spare parts for quite some time but not 25-30 years.  Your best bet is probably to buy a parts unit on eBay.  Take what you need and resell it.  Also call your local service center - sometimes they have parts.  Good luck.

Afraid I agree. Look for a suitable donor - a Beocenter 5000, or 7007 will also have the same lid. The 5000 in particular sells for very little. Could well be useful for all sorts of parts.

    Where are you based?

I have  Beocenter 5000 (including lid) that you would be welcome to!

I've just bring my hi-fi back home: it's the 7002 model, not the 7000, sorry for my mistake!

The plexiglass cover is broken because maybe someone opened it with too much strength and there is another little damage with the aluminium cover, maybe I should change this part too...

I've found also original remote control and B&O speakers and they seem to work fine...
