    Restoring C75's, S45.2s and MC 120.2 and a Master Control Panel 7700

    Hi All,

I'm new to the forum. I recently salvaged some B&O gear from an uncle who was going to bin it all after clearing out his garage.

I managed to get two pairs of black Beovox C75's (need new foams), a pair of S45.2's (very good condition) and a pair of MC120.2's (foams appear to have started to rot but im too scared to touch them in case they crumble).

Also scored a mint condition Master Control Panel 7700, two terminal remote controls and a full set of manuals for all the gear. Unfortunately missing the Beocenter 7700 to go with the Master Control Panel as I think he left that built into a house he used to own.

Do Beocenter 7700's come up for sale often? are they rare and what's my chances of finding one in Melbourne, Australia?

7700s are around though I dare say Australia will not be awash with them! They do come up though - you have just missed one in Australia!

The MC120s are lovely speakers - Just gave away a set of S120s yesterday and testing them made me realise how good they are.

Just spoke to my uncle. He actually confirmed that the Beocenter 7700 went to the tip a few years ago when some HomeStay students he had staying at his house broke the record player lid and spilt a drink on the controls/switches. Bloody kids! no respect. Oh well I will keep searching for one :)

The beocenter 7700 is just beautiful.  I got hold of one last year, and I absolutely love it. It will be well worth waiting/searching for.

    Happy search and good luck!

The MC120.2s are very nice. I recently bought a pair (my first B&O product), and I have been very happy with them. There are plenty of places that can refoam old speakers. Just Google it.
